The
GSA Small Business Government Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC)
Center is pleased to introduce its latest contract vehicle designed
to promote small business utilization when purchasing technology
solutions for the federal government.
The new 8(a) Streamlined Technology Acquisition Resources for
Services (STARS) GWAC is a small business set-aside contract
for technology solutions. Announced last summer as 8(a) Federal
Acquisition Services for Technology (FAST)2 Solicitation No.
6FG-03-RAV-0002 and recently renamed to 8(a) STARS, this new
contract vehicle is the replacement contract for the current
8(a) FAST small business contract scheduled to expire October
31, 2004.
8(a) STARS is a multiple award, indefinite delivery, indefinite
quantity contract vehicle and contains the following features:
3-year base with two, two-year option periods;
8 distinct Functional Areas (FA) designated by the North American
Industry Classification System (NAICS):
FA1 NAICS 541511 Customer Computer Programming Services
FA2 NAICS 541512 Computer Systems Design Services
FA3 NAICS 541513 Computer Facilities Management Services
FA4 NAICS 518210 Data Processing, Hosting and Related Services
FA5 NAICS 541519 Other Computer Related Services
FA6 NAICS 516110 Internet Publishing and Broadcasting
FA7 NAICS 519190 All Other Information Services
FA8 NAICS 517110 Wired Telecommunications Carriers
Directed task orders up to $3 million each for federal civilian
agencies are allowable pursuant to 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(5);
Directed task orders up to $3 million each for Department of
Defense activities are compliant with Section 803 of the 2002
National Defense Authorization Act;
8(a) credit can be transferred back to client agency via Federal
Procurement Data System (FPDS)

ECS
III is a NIH managed GWAC IDIQ open for use to all Federal Agencies.
ECS III provides everything from desktop and mobile computers,
accessories, peripherals, networking equipment and related maintenance
and warranty services, to fix/ break services, application development
and network administration. The NITAAC office has associated
a 1% administrative
fee for any customers external to NIH and turn around on ECS
III is targeted for seven days. Because of it's versatility
and quick response, NIH is touting ECS III as a vehicle for
Homeland Security related requirements. |

ITS 8(a) IDIQ Contract# GS09T03BHD0137 |
| An
IDIQ (indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity) sponsored by
the Federal Technology Service, IT Solutions. The scope of work
for individual delivery order will primarily be engaged in providing
Computer and Computer Peripheral Equipment and Services (including
installation, maintenance, repair, training, and other services
procured for support of computer systems and equipment). Work
will be accomplished through issued Delivery Orders, which may
be for, but not limited to, the following types of tasks: acquire
hardware, software, applicable maintenance agreements; install
required components and software; perform systems test; acquire
and deliver software licenses and maintenance agreements; and
provide technical support as indicated by each individual delivery
order. These services will be similar is nature to that found
on the non-mandatory GSA Multiple Award Schedules 58 and 70.
It is for 3 years or the maximum dollar ceiling of $2,999,999. |

| Langley
Air Force Base, Virginia has issued a BPA (Blanket Purchase
Agreement) to KIS for the procurement of IT equipment including
but not limited to the HP printer line. The BPA never expires,
allows for direct purchases of up to $25,000.00 with out contracting
requirements and is open to the entire ACC and Afway membership.
It is an Afway initiative sponsoring BPA. |
Navy
Shipstore "Nexcom" MBI# N00250-ASL-0191 |
| The
Navy Ships Store Program "Nexcom" has issued an MBI
(their version of a BPA) to KIS for the procurement of electronics
goods to be resold in the ship store and Navy Exchanges worldwide.
The BPA allows for direct purchases of up to $25,000.00 per
order from KIS' electronic goods price list. |

| The
Maryland Procurement Office, the Contracting Authority for the
National Security Agency maintains a pool of vendors to support
them on quick response Commercial requirements. The Credit Card
Agreement (CCA) is specific to the NSA and enables users and
the MPO to obtain pricing and delivery of purchases that fall
under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP's $2500-$100K)
in an expedited fashion. |

SEWP III (Compaq) Contract# NAS5-01133 |
| KIS
is an Authorized Agent to HP/Compaq on the SEWP III (Scientific
Engineering Workstation Procurement III) contract. It is a government-wide
acquisition contract (GWAC) for procurement of IT products and
related services. HP/Compaq is offering its complete Unix product
line (workstations and servers) as well as enterprise storage
under this contract. |
